Don’t Miss Chess Night At Cravings

When and Where

On the last Tuesday of every month, you can join the chess games at the Cravings restaurant downtown. The games begin at 7 p.m. each night. Cravings is located at 2320 University Boulevard, Tuscaloosa, Alabama 35401.

What to Expect

Local enthusiasts have kindly arranged for casual meetups like this to occur around town, with a standing monthly reservation at Cravings. While many computers have a built-in chess game, there’s no substitute for matching wits with other people, and you’ll have the chance to play against participants of all skill levels. Players may come and go as they please, but it’s worth sticking around to play against a variety of strategies. The organizers will provide chess sets, but you are welcome to bring your own if you think you’ll need extra, or if you have a set that you’re particularly proud of.

While you’re at Cravings, you’re more than welcome to stick around for dinner. Just a quick walk away from Government Plaza, Cravings offers a variety of café classics, NY deli standards, and traditional American fare.
