What's New on the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport?

Fresh off a complete redesign during the previous model year, the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport remains largely unchanged from last year's model. There is, however, a notable addition to the Santa Fe's equipment package lineup for this year. Hyundai now makes a new "Value package" available on certain 2018 Santa Fe Sport models. This package groups popular equipment and features together than aren't traditionally available as standard equipment on the base Santa Fe Sport model.Just like all the other new Hyundai models, the 2018 Santa Fe Sport offers an unbeatable value with all the standard and available equipment you get with the vehicle. It's also got a fresh, stylish look as a result of the redesign during the previous model year. Nothing beats the 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport if you're looking for a smaller alternative to the standard sized Santa Fe sport utility vehicle.

A GLIMPSE AT THE SANTA FE SPORT'S PAST

The Santa Fe was Hyundai's first sport utility vehicle introduced in 2001. The SUV was offered as a front-wheel drive or with a Fulltime 4-wheel drive system. The 2001 Santa Fe's standard engine was 2.4-L four-cylinder producing 149 horsepower with a five-speed manual transmission. An optional 181-horsepower 2.7-liter V-6 engine was also provided on the Hyundai Santa Fe with a Shiftronic four-speed automatic transmission with manual shift override. The Hyundai Santa Fe underwent its first complete re-engineering in 2007, featuring a more refined appearance and enhanced powertrain. The Hyundai Santa Fe Sport crossover vehicle debuted in 2014 alongside the Santa Fe as a smaller option. The Santa Fe Sport shares styling with its larger crossover "brother" and features similar construction. The primary differences between the Santa Fe and the Santa Fe Sport model are seating capacity (7 passengers versus 5 passengers); vehicle size (193.1 inches versus 184.6 inches); and engine (V6 versus 4 cylinder engine).
